    PCAP Touch Foil

Turn Glass or Acrylic into an Interactive Touch Screen

PCAP Touch Foil is a self-adhesive multi-touch film that can be applied to glass or acrylic surfaces to create interactive touch screens.

Using Projected Capacitive (PCAP) touch technology, the foil detects touch through glass, allowing users to interact directly with digital content displayed behind the surface. The film installs to the rear of the glass or acrylic, keeping the interactive technology protected while maintaining a clean front surface.

PCAP touch foils are commonly used for interactive windows, digital signage displays, kiosks, exhibition displays and interactive showcases, allowing existing screens or projection systems to be converted into responsive touch displays. Standard sizes are available, with custom touch foil sizes also manufactured to suit bespoke installations.

    STANDARD PCAP MULTI-TOUCH FOIL SIZES*

*Custom sizes are available on request.

    Single/Dual Touch Foils are available in standard sizes of 27″, 32″, 43″, 49″, 55″, 65″, 75″, 82″ & 98″ with custom sizes available on request.

    What is PCAP Touch Foil?

PCAP (Projected Capacitive) Touch Foil is a transparent touch sensor film designed to turn glass or acrylic surfaces into fully interactive touch screens.

The foil is installed to the rear side of the glass or acrylic panel, allowing users to interact directly with the front surface while the touch sensor remains protected behind the substrate. This makes PCAP touch foil ideal for both interactive window displays and rigid touch screen overlays used in digital signage and kiosk installations.

PCAP technology is widely used in smartphones and tablets due to its high touch accuracy, fast response time and multi-touch capabilities, making it suitable for demanding commercial interactive applications.
PCAP touch foils are available in a range of standard sizes, with custom sizes also available to suit unique display formats, glass panels or bespoke interactive installations.

    PCAP INTERACTIVE TOUCH FOILS

Please note that we recommend using toughened or laminated glass for best performance. We cannot guarantee touch performance through double-glazed units where an air gap exists between the glass panels.

This glass touch screen technology can be integrated into a wide range of applications including retail store windows, touch tables, gaming displays, ATMs, freestanding kiosks, totems and touch control panels.

    VOLVO POP UP SHOP

Our Clearview Projection Foil was used in a VoIvo pop-up store, encouraging shoppers to ‘connect’ with a brand new Volvo V40, on show inside the pop-up shop, by playing a light pattern memory game. When the shopper repeats the pattern correctly on the touch window, an LED trail lights up to connect them to the car.

    INTERACTIVE PROJECTION FOIL

Our Interactive Projection Film is an innovative fusion of our PCAP touch foil with a selection of our bestselling projection films, together creating a rear projection powered interactive window screen. Like our standard touch foil, our Interactive Projection Foil uses through glass touch capabilities to function and can be retrofitted to any existing toughened or laminated glass surface.

    REAR PROJECTION TOUCH FOIL

Our rear projection touch foils are available with single, dual and multi-touch functionality, with standard sizes up to 98″ and custom sizes available on request.

These interactive touch foils are ideal for shop window displays and other high traffic environments, encouraging engagement and promoting your brand while keeping valuable equipment safely positioned behind the glass.

Interactive projection foils are designed primarily for rear projection applications.

    INSTALLATION

Pro Display Touch Film products come complete with a sign fitting squeegee, spray bottle, nitrile gloves and installation guide ensuring you have all items at your disposal to ensure a quick and simple installation. The foil connects to your PC or Media Player via USB and can be calibrated using the provided touch screen drivers.

How does PCAP touch foil work through glass?
PCAP (Projected Capacitive) touch foil detects touch using a transparent sensor grid that sits behind the glass or acrylic panel. When a finger touches the surface, the technology detects the change in capacitance and registers the touch position with high accuracy.
Because the sensor is installed behind the glass, the interactive technology remains protected while users interact directly with the front surface.
What type of glass should be used with PCAP touch foil?
For best performance we recommend using toughened or laminated glass. The touch foil is installed to the rear of the glass panel, allowing users to interact with the front surface while the sensor remains protected.
Performance can vary depending on the thickness and type of glass used, so our team can advise on the most suitable configuration for each installation.
Are custom PCAP touch foil sizes available?

Yes. In addition to standard sizes, custom PCAP touch foil sizes are available to suit bespoke installations. This allows integrators to create interactive displays for kiosks, exhibitions, digital signage and custom glass panels.

Can PCAP touch foil be used with projection screens?

Yes. PCAP touch foil is commonly combined with rear projection films to create large interactive projection screens. This allows glass surfaces such as shop windows to become interactive touch displays while keeping the projection equipment safely positioned behind the glass.

How many touch points does PCAP touch foil support?

Our PCAP touch foils support multi-touch interaction, allowing multiple users to interact with the screen simultaneously. This makes the technology ideal for interactive retail displays, kiosks, exhibitions and collaborative digital signage applications.
